The All-Inclusive Resort Life

When we arrived at Las Palmas Flamingos, we checked in and they said we couldn't have an adjoining room because of the room type, but they would put us "close together". That ended up being a several minute walk away and I was stressed. Our 2 rooms with 2 queens NEEDED to be adjoining for this to be a good vacation!  We couldn't leave the kids alone every night/every time we needed to go to our room!  So after getting the kids and Eric settled in the pool, I went back to the main desk to try again. I told the guy that there was an empty suite right next to one of our rooms, was it available?  He very apologetically said that it was, but it would be more expensive. I asked him how much and he hesitantly said how many pesos and that it converted to $40 per night more. I was like Hallelujah yes!  We will take it!!! So we got this living area pictured below, with a sofa bed. And a master bedroom and bath with a king bed. And the other room on the right with 2 queens. It was SO nice to have the kitchen and table and sitting area, and we were on the ground floor with 3 porches that led out to grass, 10 steps to the pool.  It was SO nice to not have to go down hallways/stairs/elevator to get to the pool/beach!

So- the room situation looked terrible at first but ended up being FANTASTIC.

Here we are the first night,  Kate Maris and Emma, 15 steps from our room, dancing barefoot to the band entertainment, and on the beach for sunset.

The view of sunset poolside.
Our first morning we were delighted by the breakfast buffet and the outdoor seating!  We even saw dolphins out in the bay!
Lunch was super fun as well- all the yummy drinks!!  We 5 went to the Italian restaurant, while Eric and Whitney went to the Mexican place. Also my freckles came alive that first morning!

And--dinner at sunset at the Italian place! Eating outside by the beach was just SO cool!!

That first day we spent many hours on the beach! (and here's an out of order pic of Maris at the Japanese restaurant the next day haha- next to bamboo since that's what her favorite animal-pandas-eat. )

More cuties enjoying the resort life!!

Our spot on the beach chairs- and more Pina coladas, and Katelyn's new swim cover that we bought from a beach vendor! There was also this adorable family of vendors we saw a few times on the beach- we bought things from their little girls and spoke Spanish to them.
The afternoon of Day 2, Emma needed a nap, so I took these 3 on a walk to the nearby town of Bucerias. It was over a mile, but worth it!

Then after we got back and had dinner, we enjoyed the beach sunset and poolside reading again!
Lovely Day!
