It was Maris' turn to have her most exciting birthday party- Her 8-Year-Old Harry Potter Birthday Party!!
Luckily I had 4 great helpers to make the magic happen! Here they are set up at Diagon Alley: the kids got a wand, a spell book, magical candy, a tiny stuffed animal, and a robe (made of black plastic tablecloths).
Maris wanted an owl cake- Hedwig turned out really cute!!

Owen was such a good sport; he agreed to be the dueling partner and let them all "Expelliarmus" him. He was a superb actor!! He also ran the remote control for the Accio spell (book taped to a RC car).
Potions class was a huge success as usual! Here's Maris and Kennedy working on theirs- squeezing the "bat spleen" (Gushers) haha
While Katelyn ran the transfiguration class! Turning a piece of paper into a cute origami owl. I have such helpful kids!!

We love our sweet Maris girl!! She is very sensitive, smart, and kind. Such a peacemaker. And growing up fast!
