Our announcement!

So Katelyn is our big #1,
 Whitney takes the #2 spot,
Owen is our sweet little #3,
and yes it's true, there is currently a #4 growing and wreaking all sorts of havoc inside of me!
We are really excited to have another sweet baby, due May 31st 2014.  We will be even more excited in a couple of months when I'm not sick anymore. :)
Oh yeah and this is how we told the kids- when we were taking the picture!  I made them get all dressed up and we drove to the spot and they saw I had made these frames and the girls were all curious... so then we told them what it meant and they were so cute.  My favorite picture is the one above of just Whitney, because that was her face right after we told them the news.  Her quiet happy smile!  Then we had fun for the next couple of weeks having a "family secret".

just a few soccer still shots

Adorable girls- Mia and Whitney!
One of Whitney's shots on goal (she's about to shoot and get blocked!)
 Kate playing goalie!
She's on the ground after diving and stopping the ball!
Kate in the pink shorts fighting for the ball!

The next two are of Eric- in this one he's listening to one of the kids tell him something as he gets ready for a kickoff,
and in this one he's smiling sympathetically as someone shot and missed.  He is a great coach.
Whitney doing her crazy jumping dance "someone is coming with the ball and I've got to stop them"

A cute moment- Owen asked Whitney to take him over to the park during Katelyn's game and she agreed.

Whitney chasing after the ball, she beat that boy and stopped him from scoring!
Had to throw this one in- this was our superstar Xavier, and this was the excited look that was ALWAYS on his face during the games!  So cute.

We had a great season!

soccer highlight videos- Katelyn!

So I really thought Katelyn wasn't going to play soccer this year!  But when sign-up time came around she really wanted to do it, so we talked about it and she promised she wouldn't complain about going to the games. :)  So we signed her up, and I requested that she be on a team with her friend Danny- which turned out perfect just like I planned!  They aren't in the same class at school this year, so she was always happy to see him at soccer and she never complained. :)  Anyway, I'm so glad she played, because she really improved this year and I"m proud of her.  She got a lot better at running all over the field (instead of just staying in one place) and she touched the ball a few times each game (instead of like once a game last year!).  Her coach really tried to teach them things, like to kick the ball 3 times in a row, not just kick it once and let it go.  Katelyn's good at following directions, so when her coach kept telling her to run back and defend, she started to get it.  She developed a lot better sense of the game this year. And she did great the couple of times she got to play goalie.
So here's Kate, in most of the middle clips she's in BRIGHT pink shorts so she's easy to spot, and she's #35.  She's so funny, mostly just running around. :)  In the last clip (after the Eric and Owen part- I had to record that because Owen was laughing SO HARD and they were being hilarious) she's wearing black shorts and she dribbles the ball a little!  She probably did that 3 or 4 other times during the season too- very impressive for her. :)

soccer highlight video- Whitney

I finally finished making the season highlights videos of the girls!  I took a lot of video, but lots of it was lame, and I didn't catch a bunch of good stuff with Whitney.  It was hard because half of their games were at the same time as each other, so I was walking back and forth between the two fields.  Whitney scored 3 goals this season (she would have scored more but mostly she always wanted to play defense!  So those 3 were in the few times we convinced her to try to score. (: )  and I only saw one of them, and it was from far away because I was over at Katelyn's game!  But it was awesome, she dribbled all the way down the field and shot it right in.  She's a great player and very determined (duh, this is Whitney) when she WANTS to be (once again, this is Whitney) and I think she has a great future in soccer if she will work on her skills and conditioning when she gets older.
Anyway, this year Eric coached Whitney's team and it was SO fun for us.  Fun for me because he is beyond cute with those little kids, and fun for both of us because the little 4 and 5-year-olds on our team were ADORABLE.  We had Whitney's best friend Tyson, the cutest little girls Mia and Ronnie, a sweet little boy named Zeke and then Xavier, who will be the next 16-year-old professional soccer player.  Seriously, that kid has SKILLS and would have scored like 15 goals a game if we hadn't tried to get him to pass the ball to his regular-old kindergarten level teammates!  He was always so happy and excited to play, they all were.  What fun.  Anyway, in this video you will see a lot of Whitney running, kicking, FALLING (her kicks were too powerful and many times knocked her over haha!), pushing a kid over, crying to her Dad once, and in the last video you can barely hear her yell "Bekah! No you do not!!" as she defends her goal!  She was especially agressive in that game against her friend/enemy from preschool, Bekah.  :)
