another comparison

okay so we knew Whitney was chubbier than Katelyn, but here is extra proof:
This is Whitney at 7 weeks old, last Sunday.
Here is Katelyn, also at 7 weeks amazingly enough, I totally did not plan that! But she's definitely skinnier and she had lost all her hair already! So maybe Whitney will keep hers??
Cute girls!

boating

last weekend we went to Pineview Reservoir with Eric's family, so fun!! We even convinced Katelyn to go on the tube with me, at about 1 mile per hour. It was, in her words, "really really great!"

She had fun playing on the "beach" too
And Whitney mostly hung out on shore with Grandma-- I love this picture!
We love having Eric's family home from Japan for the summer. And we can't wait to see my Hansen family next weekend!

Interpretive bread

Katelyn bit this shape out of her bread yesterday- what does it look like to you??
She called it "my Mickey" for the next hour and kept pointing out his ears to us. So funny.

a fun Monday

yesterday was a busy day! Among other things, Katelyn, Whitney and I went to see the Provo temple because Katelyn couldn't remember seeing a temple and I wanted a picture for her to have of herself at the temple. It was really fun, but HOT. We've been enjoying weather in the 60's after the longest winter ever, so now that it's hitting 90 degrees we're dying!!

notice the crooked pigtails, nice job mom. and she's holding a toy that she hadn't played with in at least 6 months, and then she watched the Lion King a couple of weeks ago. Now he's Simba or "my lion king" and she holds him up and sings/yells "in the circle of life!" It's awesome.

We also discovered the coolest place- for Family Home Evening we decided to explore Santaquin Canyon, just this little canyon on the mountain behind Santaquin, and it is beautiful!! You can't camp there, but there's pine trees and a little river and places to have campfires only 10 minutes from our house! I was in heaven, and now my goal is to run up there someday. Katelyn had fun "hiking" in the "forest" and picking up rocks, leaves, etc. And climbing on this "flat rock" with dad. Whitney conked out from the sound of rushing water when we were standing by the river right at first. It was great and we came home smelling like campfire and bug spray. So fun!

bath time

Whitney loves taking baths!! So we finally caught her smile on camera, she's smiling at her mama :)

a picnic at the park with some friends

with a flower some cute little boys we know gave heropening one of her many wonderful presents- thanks everyone!!

me and whitney- oh yeah I cut my hair and this is NOT a great picture! It's supposed to be an A-line cut.
whitney with uncle ryan and soon-to-be aunt courtnee! they came with aunt elizabeth too, and katelyn had SO MUCH fun with them. Oh and Dad came home early too, good times.

eating after she blew out her candles
wednesday in her new pool that we got her!
whitney mae- she smiles all the time now but I'm yet to catch one on camera!
also we got Katelyn a trike for her birthday but when we opened it it was too small- she's a tall girl- so we ordered a new one that's bigger, it will be here in a couple weeks.

Happy Birthday Katelyn!!!

$87.75

is the amount we spent on diapers and wipes last weekend when we stocked up at Target. We'll see how long that lasts us!

Katelyn really needs to get potty trained... give me a few more weeks and we'll try.
