Busiest June

June ended up being SOOO busy! Between the normal swimming lessons and grass volleyball, we added 2 nights a week of baseball, 2 mornings a week of run club in Mapleton, 2 morning soccer conditionings a week for Whit, Whitney and Owen club soccer practice, and the 2 week long SF Arts Festival with classes every day!  I think I was overcompensating from COVID summer last year?? haha.

Anyway here's Owen and Maris rocking their swimming lessons. Emma did great too in her last year of mom and me.  She can swim several strokes in a row now! Owen decided he loves to swim butterfly, and Maris did so well as the youngest in her Level 4 class.

Owen on 3rd base with a spectacular sunset, and on 2nd base.
Swimming for fun in Payson.

Whit and her soccer girls snacking between run club and agility training.
FHE picture- Jesus (drawn by Maris) and each of us with him.
One day when the older girls were busy, I took the 3 younger on the dripping rock hike.  It was fun and super quick since they are so old!!

Playing in a summer rainstorm in their pajamas!!
Whitney's team did one of their 2 weekly practices at 6:15am all summer.  It was pretty awesome!!  They looked so hardcore out there so early.  And so grown up.  I occasionally ran past them on the river trail, so once I took a picture.
Spanish Fork Arts Festival!  2 weeks of classes every morning for all the kids except Kate- who wanted to sleep in before the summer Shakespeare weeks.
Whitney and Maris took a Tiny Art class and had their work displayed at a local cookie shop:
Emma took a Kinder Art class:
We did 2k race all together:
Emma did a dance class: Princesses can dance.  They did a Tangled dance at the end so of course she wore her Rapunzel dress.

Owen had the joy of his life- a LEGO class!! and here's Whit and Maris again. They also each took one other class.  It was super fun but too much structure for me.

Eric made Young Men's camp happen for our ward, it turned out fun but was pretty stressful beforehand.  He is burnt out from being in YM for so many years, and especially from being in YM/Bishopric without reliable advisors....but he is still chugging along.
Whitney did Grass Volleyball!  And So did Katelyn and I on a women's team- it was way fun!!
June was full, that's for sure!

Katelyn turns 15.....!!

Katelyn had a pretty chill birthday this year.
What a cute grown-up girl!! All she wanted was to go to an escape room with her friends.  So here she is with her 4 favorite friends, eating cake before we went to the escape room in Orem.
Liam, Ariel, Kate, Lynus and Jacob.

They had a great time and she was happy!

Chill birthday parties are awesome,  and Katelyn is even more awesome.  We love her!!!!

Maris has a Musical Birthday!

Cutie Maris got to have a special birthday this year!  Her birthday was the Sunday of the weekend we were in St George for Ryder's baptism. So she got to have birthday breakfast with Grammy and Grandpa Jamie, Birthday lunch with cousins, and birthday dinner at home! (we fasted the week before). And then a party with friends the next day, and another birthday dinner and swimming in Highland with the Murrays!
Here she is getting sandwich hugged by her big sisters her last night of being 6.
And a birthday selfie with Mom!
special breakfast:

opening presents at the condo:

Maris's Musical birthday party the next day!  She only had 2 friends show up- Lizzy and Brittany. But it was still fun!

Emma shooting Owen the dragon in the obstacle course:
Stepping on music notes and playing tone bells in the obstacle course:

Dance party with a bunch of songs Whitney helped Maris get.  We rolled a dice for what to do for each song. Instruments, musical chairs, karaoke, etc.
Her rainbow musical cake turned out fun!!

We brought the rest to share at Grandma's.  Also here are the kids enjoying slushes the night we got back from St. George- her actual birthday. We love our sweet singing and dancing girl!!

And I needed to document this crazy incident-- Emma had earned a candy bar from the reading challenge, so she opened it and took a couple of bites, then put it on her pillow and forgot about it.  She fell asleep early on the couch that night, and when I put her in bed it was dark so I didn't see the candy bar on the pillow!!  The next morning she comes into my room and as she is moving around, little bits of Hershey's Cookies and Cream are on the floor.... finally I turned her around and there was an entire candy bar melted to the back of her head!! hahaha. This picture is after I had already picked a lot of it out!! No more candy in bed!!
