It was Whitney's last year of city Volleyball! It has been a fun ride. I'm so grateful she could play and enjoy it, even though we didn't want to spend the time/energy/money on Club volleyball. I got to coach her team one last time! Here she is with her sweet serve- she was our most consistent overhand server!
Also Maris got to play for the first time! She had fun....but 3/4 grade volleyball is SO hard to watch/coach! Here she is serving- she got it over most of the time.
Whitney in the back row, but scooching forward- she loved to be involved in every play! and she had a couple of really cool diving saves.
I didn't get any action shots of her- too hard to do while coaching. These pictures were actually just to remind me of lineups that I liked haha.
Team pic after we won the 3rd place game at the end of the season. Whitney is standing by her good friend from school, Camille. Not pictured was an awesome girl Sophie Thompson, who started a thing where she would cheer for Whitney before each serve, and it literally changed the game! Whitney would perk up and start being super positive, it was awesome to see how encouragement from a teammate can make the whole team better. Sophie was a great player too, I love coaching and getting to know great kids.
