I LOVED LOVED LOVED the Spirit of Christmas show this year!!! It was a beautiful and joyful celebration of Jesus Christ!!
I cried and felt the Spirit and just had so much gratitude that we live in a place where kids at school can praise their Savior through song and dance. Here's Katelyn up on the balcony singing Joy Unto the World - "In a manger we have found, our Humble King! All creation held it's breath, then suddenly--Your Light came breaking through the darkness! Waking every heart, with heaven singing Joy Unto the World! Our long-awaited Savior, you will reign forever! We are singing Joy Unto the World!"
Such fun dancing!
Katelyn surrounded by Johnny, Baily, Camille and Andrea.
This was adorable-- Owen's elementary Show Choir group did a performance for the rest of the 5th and 6th graders. He and Abby Walquist had solos and a duet in Run, Run Rudolph. They did a great job on the solos and the harmony!! And the dancing was so cute.
One of the nights Katelyn got to act in the Nativity- She's this tall shepherd in the front. I was bummed the orchestra director was standing right in front of us :( It was so beautiful again though- they sang Love Came Down, and then at the end all knelt down with their candles.... I just love it.
This was cool!! Mrs. Millet wrote a Book Club Christmas Carol, and Katelyn got to be the Ghost of Christmas Future. She did an AMAZING British accent, it was so good!! She said that's how she reads Harry Potter in her head, so it was easy to just pull it out haha. So here she is with Liam who played Scrooge. "Sometimes statistics are worse than death" haha.
Here's the whole cast of dancers, show choir, MDT, band and orchestra as they finished performing The King is Here- so powerful! "Those lost in darkness, have seen a light! Let peace arise, let darkness fall, let all the earth join in song! The end of doubt, the end of fear, joy to the world! The King is here!!"
