Okay, last Les Mis post I promise. I just needed a place for a few more pictures that didn't have my kids in them, but pictures from scenes our whole family loved!
First is Red and Black. By far our favorite song from the show going into it, and seeing it live was even better! The guys did SO well acting and singing here, it was HILARIOUS! Evan with his red cloth- will go down in infamy haha.
Such a fun song and they sounded great too. Dillon Ellis as Marius- was just fantastic.
The barricade!! Was so HUGE and looked amazingly jumbled together, it was perfect!!
This was the moment they realized they were going to die. They all kind of paused and looked each other in the eyes and nodded- it was so powerful and sad! We love these boys in real life!
And we had to watch them die and hang precariously off the barricade! Whitney's friend Todd did AMAZING, keeping his eyes open because his head was facing the audience!
And THIS- empty chairs at empty tables!! Such a heart-wrenching song anyway, but they had Dance Company come and do this gorgeous emotional dance, and had the boys from the barricade come in and stand with lanterns like ghosts....wow. just wow. And of course Dillon nailed the vocals and acting.
So, so amazing. I can see why my little girls were enthralled/addicted to this show. I was too! Thanks ALA for the show that every other show will be compared to forever, and probably come up lacking!
