our trip to California!!

We got to spend last week with my family, it was wonderful. A little quiet with Donny and Katrina on missions and Jonathan at EFY part of the time, but so fun. Whitney's so friendly and Kate's so hilarious right now, so I think my family enjoyed themselves too. :) Here are some pics.

Few of you may know that I had a pencil collection when I was little. I spent a bunch of time last week going through the last of my "stuff" my mom has been keeping for me. So we took this picture, and then I gave most of my pencils to my sisters. Yay.

yay, Ryan and Cortnee are married!! We had such a fun day! The temple ceremony was beautiful, there's nothing quite like seeing your sibling get married.

It was fun to hang out at the temple, even though it got HOT. Katelyn was so happy to see the "Salt Lake Temple!" she even pointed out "the angel Moroni!" when we were in the car still.
the girls were flower girls and Cortnee picked out the CUTEST dresses! We also curled Katelyn's hair for the first time ever with rag curlers, so cute.They had a live band at the reception and it was SO FUN to dance with Katelyn!

At the last minute we decided to bless Whitney yesterday so Eric's dad could be there, and it was wonderful. Here's our sweet girl.


We realized we didn't have a 4-generation picture with Eric's grandpa Murray, so here it is.

Eric's whole family came, plus his grandparents, aunt and cousins from Pocatello, and my uncle aunt and cousins came too. It was way fun and Katelyn had a GREAT time playing with everyone.
The blessing was really special, and apparently Whitney was smiling up at Eric the whole time with this HUGE smile. So cute. We love having a smiley baby since Katelyn was not one!
Also good news, Kate got a new nursery teacher that I think she really likes, yay!

American Idols LIVE 2008!!!!!

Yes it's true, we went to the American Idol Concert in Salt Lake on my birthday, woo-hoo!! Thanks to Eric's parents for the tickets and for watching the girls so we could go, it was so fun!!
I did get a little distracted by the teenage girls next to me who I think didn't stop texting for more than 10 seconds at a time the whole show, and Chikieze and Ramielle were blah, but everyone else was good. Here's a picture of David Archuleta singing, I was going to take a video but it was INSANELY loud the whole time he was onstage, oh my. It was out of control. We could barely hear him sing! He's such a cute kid.

The right person won this year though, and he was AWESOME live, Eric even really enjoyed it. Here's a video of him singing Hero by the Foo Fighters. Obviously it was better in real life! Then he sang Billie Jean and it was SO good.

I really enjoyed American Idol this year, since most of the people on it were actually GOOD, so it was perfect that the concert was in Salt Lake on my birthday and Eric agreed to come with me and Eric's parents surprized us with tickets the night before! Good times!! ( ps Eric really does like the show, he just had no desire to be at the concert with thousands of 14-year old girls screaming for David Archuleta. I promised him next time Weezer comes to Salt Lake on his birthday we can go. :) )

We keep asking Kate if she wants to hold Whitney and she always says no, but today she was asking to, and this is how it went...

Whitney LOVES Katelyn and always smiles at her. So cute. So we tried to take a video, and right before I pressed record Katelyn stuck her finger down Whitney's throat, hence the abrupt beginning of this video and Whitney's obvious unhappiness.

As for the song, I sang it to her a few times a few weeks ago and she fell in love. We currently have The Sound of Music on loan from the Santaquin library, good times.

our fourth of july weekend
