Our first morning in Nauvoo was the Saturday of Easter weekend, and sure enough they had an Easter Egg hunt in town! We hit up the fireman's breakfast (and donated money!) so we were feeling like locals by the time the hunt began. Here's Maris collecting her haul:
Oh and we realized it was converse day for these 3- Very cute!
Owen doing his last egg hunt as a kid, and Emma going for it. They got TONS of eggs!
After the hunt, the historical sights were open so we finally got to start seeing AAALLL the things! This was the blacksmith shop, one of our favorites! And the Seventies hall.
By the mail slots in the print shop.
Katelyn and I with Main St. behind us, and the girls LOVED playing pioneer! They would have stayed there a lot longer if we let them.
Adorable pioneer portraits by the Magnolia bush
More cutie pioneers, and eating at the restaurant under our Awesome airbnb!
It was decent! The only food in town haha.
That afternoon Owen babysat so we could take the girls to do baptisms in the Nauvoo temple 💖💖
It was gorgeous!
Here's some pics inside our Airbnb- the location was unbeatable, it had a wonky setup and tiny kitchen, but was old and historic and great! (also Emma made a heart out of smarties from the Egg hunt.)
Yay for an awesome unique place to stay.
Also Eric and I went back to the temple after dinner for an endowment session. It was beautiful. Fulfillment of my dreams!
