9-year-old Maris

Here's cute Maris opening presents on her birthday morning. I love her expressions!

She decided to have an Olympics party; complete with a parade of Nations!

They competed in a bunch of events: Volleyball, soccer, gymnastics, and this was the final event; a relay race around the house! Uncle Jonathan, Tenley, Swaizey, McKinlee, Maris. versus Aven, Carla, the one boy who came, and Kennedy. 

Maris' team was at a disadvantage because of poor McKinlee, but Maris almost caught them back up on her leg!

Maris at age 9 is as fun and sweet as ever.  She loves to play and sing and run. She is always the first to notice and respond when someone needs help.  She is having a great year.
