Potty training and other fall activities for Maris!

Maris grew up a lot this fall!  About August we finally started potty training for real, and it only took a few days of wearing undies all day for her to start to get it.  I had just been too inconsistent all spring and summer with a new baby!  And potty training and nursing is such a nightmare-- I would always forget to take her and then she would have an accident while I was feeding Emma!
But at last, AT LAST, she learned how to do it.  And following in the footsteps of Whit and Owen, she was automatically potty trained at night too.  Hallelujah!  Here she is with her sticker chart,

And with her prize, an Elsa set.

Her preschool has been adorable, and very good for her socially.  Here was a field trip we took to the Red barn, with older siblings and cousins.  Bryan, Addie, Maris, Audrey, Owen and Shon.
Because she was potty trained, maris got to try a tumbling class!
She loved it.

And she loves peaches.
And when I have time she usually lets me do her hair cute.
This is as of January 2018:
Maris is so adorable and CHEERFUL.  She is loud and exhuberant and sings crazy made-up songs (or mash-ups of real songs) all the day long.  It's funny because even with songs she knows, she isnt great at memorizing the words, but she knows the gist, so she'll sing "I have a family who loves me" instead of "I have a family here on earth, they are so good to me." And she can follow a long with a tune really well, but can't carry it a capella.  She is really getting into pretend play and loves to play with stuffed animals or dolls.  She can get a little attitude sometimes that is actually really cute even though it's naughty, but she is really good at trying again and using a nicer voice when I ask her to.  She gets over things pretty quickly usually, which is so refreshing after her three older siblings' occasional drama!  She did have a bit of a rough time in the summer/fall, but this winter she has settled into a pretty delightful 3-year-old.  Oh and she is learning to share with Emma. :)
