A whole decade old!! and a Lego party to celebrate.

Katelyn had a fun birthday.  She was overjoyed to get books of course!

And thought these girly Avenger pjs from Grammy were pretty cool.
Eric picked out a Camelbak for her.
I was pretty happy with this Lego cake I made, it may be my favorite ever!!

katelyn and I made these Lego head marshmallow pops too.
And added some Lego head balloons for decor--
and made our front door into a Lego!  Of Katelyn's favorite color, yellow.
Our first activity was color yourself as a Lego minifigure.  Our party guests were: Ariel (from school), Brianna and Ellie from our neighborhood, Chloe from Santaquin/Rococo, Whit, Kendyl and Katie from our neighborhood, Owen, Kate, Ryder from school, and David from Santaquin.  Kate's best friend from school, Michelle, came later.

Next we had a Lego obstacle course, of course!
You had to build a tower 10 Legos tall,
climb the climbing wall and go down the slide, crawl through the tunnel, (here is Ryder running to the tunnel)

(Michelle starting the relay, and Owen and Whitney were the helpers!)
then you had to hurdle a box (was supposed to be decorated as as giant Lego but we ran out of time!)
Then rescue all the Duplo people from the pool, then run around the house to finish!  This was Ellie, the eventual winner!
Then we came in and did minifigure grab bags.

They got to randomly pick a head, torso, legs and accessories and assemble them, then go through the line again.

Then we played a game where we dumped out a bin of Legos that I bought on ebay for $25 (best purchase ever!  It also included like 15 minifigures!) and they had 15 minutes to make a creation.
They loved it!!
At the end I gave them each a prize like biggest, most gadgets, etc. and a little bag of Lego candy as a prize.  Plus I let them know that they could keep their creation!
Then we had cake!
Being a sibling of the birthday girl is pretty great too!
also we decorated these cups as Lego heads.
The party was AWESOME, and then we went swimming at the Provo Rec Center with the MacKays, and then out to dinner at Wingers where we sat near a table containing almost the entire cast of Studio C!  We were all just taking peeks at them the whole time lol.
Katelyn is so old I can't believe it!!  She is very nurturing and loving to her siblings and generally very obedient and kind.  She loves to stay up late reading and then sleep in really late!  She has many talents and we love her so much!
