Owen is born!

The first picture of Owen's life! After a night of water breaking at home at 11pm, getting pulled over on the way to the hospital, Arriving only dilated to a ONE, pitocin, waiting, epidural, waiting, finally going from a 4 to a 10 in 2 hours, and he was born after pushing through 2 contractions at 7:16 am on January 27th! We were so thrilled, he is so cute.
Welcome to the world Owen Eric Murray! A healthy, good sized boy! He came 12 days early or else we're sure he would have been 9 pounds like his sisters. :) and he was 20.5 inches long, same as Whitney. He has long arms and big hands, like his Dad. :)
Yay! It's all worth it! He's here!
Don't know why this loaded upside-down, but here he is minutes after birth sucking vigorously on his thumb. He's been a champion eater and sleeper so far!
The girls got to see him that afternoon, they were so cute and quiet with him.
Doesn't she just look so happy? This is Katelyn's really happy and excited face.
Whitney loves to hold Owen! and talk to him, and help me with him. So cute.

I took this picture in the middle of my night by myself at the hospital, he was just so cute! In retrospect I should have been sleeping instead of staring at my baby. By the end of the next day I was absolutely dead from two nights of little sleep! The nurses kept taking him to the nursery for me after I fed him, but I swear every 10 minutes someone came into my room for some reason or another. All of our nurses were awesome though, so helpful and caring and not annoying. We had a great experience with them.
Eric got to spend a fair amount of time at the hospital with us thanks to awesome aunts and uncles- thank you Katrina, Phillip, Elizabeth, and KJ! There's nothing I love more than watching Eric with our little babies. For all his complaints that they're useless until about 8 months old, he is so, so cute with babies!
In his going home outfit, obviously thrilled. :)
more to come on his first week!
