I was in charge of Stake Boys Activity Days, Day Camp again this year. I admit I was less into it with Girls Camp right before! But it turned out good. We did the Covenant Path of Life and it turned out fun!! Less of a turnout than last year, but any weekend in the summer is hard.
The Dad Class- Owen changing a diaper!
The Marriage Class- how to have good communication- blindfolded pudding cup making! and Tools class/the Holy Ghost
Careers class- careers quiz and headbands game, and Man class- shaving and hygiene!
Knot tying- covenants class!
Owen at the marriage class (wearing mustaches from the man class!) and at the tools class
Dance class!! I put so much effort into getting girls to come help with this, and it was kind of a flop. The teacher took way too much time teaching the steps, and the boys and girls only got to dance together for like 1 minute at the end of each rotation. Plus we had way more girls than we needed! But oh well, they tried to still have fun.
Owen spent an HOUR making these awesome paths all over before the activity- to make it like a game board! And here are some boys doing pushups after spinning the "Trials and Blessings Wheel"- they got to spin several times throughout their path.
My favorite part of the activity was the cards they got to draw at several stations- Career, what temple they got married in, how many kids, where they went on a mission (well, those were flags actually, that they picked after hearing from our full-time missionaries in the chapel at the beginning). I thought it was super fun. :)
And lastly we have this from a family home evening lesson that went well. :)
