Maris Jan-June 2018. The second half of being 3!

The first fun thing Maris got to do this year was take an ice skating class!  It was adorable. We all went to Provo once a week to take this class and they all had fun.

Maris was the first one to go on a date with Mom! (from the Christmas present I gave each of the kids)
It was SO fun to play at Jump On It with her for a couple of hours!!
Maris and Owen had a blast shooting each other with these poppers over and over again. Seriously for hours in january!
She got to take her first dance class this Spring and she loved it!
And looked so dang cute always.  And she is probably my most flexible child so maybe she will be a great dancer!
We went sledding and she was fearless.
She got to play with her cousin Jayda for really the first time since they were old enough to actually PLAY.  It was so cute, I love that they are the same age!

Aunt Jenae visited us and brought treats from Chile!
Maris started "reading" books to Emma.
Maris got better and better at playing with Emma this spring.
She even taught her to not hate the bath by introducing her to pouring water with measuring cups, yay!
Cute Easter Sunday pics
We went camping in Canyonlands/Arches and Maris did great on the hikes.

She had fun dyeing Easter eggs,

and hunting for them. Check out that ragamuffin hair at it's finest!

We had great fun doing preschool with Audrey and Shaun (and owen haha)
Emma started greeting Maris with a big hug and kiss every morning, so precious!
Maris got her dance costume and wanted to wear it right away!!
Here are some pics I posted on facebook, that I took over a period of a few weeks,
depicting Maris making various items into people and playing with them like they were little friends and families. :)  SO cute.  THey would talk to each other and it was so funny to listen to.

cars and tractors
markers
measuring cups
markers again!
same day- measuring spoons

stuffed animals (that one makes the most sense!)
rock!  She was dressing it in American girl doll clothes LOL
cars and planes

gummy bears. She is so cute and funny!!  And my mom said I did the same thing at that age, so...
She had dance pictures and a dance recital, she looked SO beautiful and adorable all dressed up!
We spent a LOT of time at the track!  Here she is in the lollipop race at the big kids' track meet.
I caught her mid-air cheering for Eric at the nickelcade on Whitney's birthday.

Owen's kindergarten graduation.  She loves him so much.
Last day of preschool for the year!  She let me do her hair super cute.
Maris's 4th birthday!
She was having a princess party, so first she dressed up as Moana....
and then changed her mind and wanted to be Anna.  Here are her first cute friends to arrive.
Writing nice notes because princesses are kind. And they love stickers haha.
we ended up with Seth, Tinkerbell, Rapunzel, princess Jenna, Anna, Ariel and Belle!
They did a treasure hunt because princesses are smart.
Then they learned how to swordfight and had to do an obstacle course and fight a dragon, because princesses are brave!
Owen was an awesome and hilarious dragon!
Then we had a coronation and dance party (ball).
and cake and ice cream!

Then we went to the pond.
And even though she's 4, she's not too old to fall asleep in the car after a long afternoon in the sun. Cutie.
We went on a cemetery trip with the MacKays again; this time in the Salt Lake valley to a bunch of Lee ancestors (Grandad's family).

Maris is so wild and free and funny.  She only knows a few of her letters but she's always writing a million notes.
She doesn't know the exact lyrics to songs, but she gets the gyst of them and makes up her own words.  I think she's not great at memorizing because I haven't read to her as much as I did to the other kids!  So sad!  She will be fine I'm sure, but I am trying to step up my game with my two littles so they don't miss out on anything I gave my big kids. :)
