Spring Break in Goblin Valley/Arches

We had been promising the kids for 2 years that we would go to Goblin Valley again this year. :)  (The last time was when I was almost 8 months pregnant with Maris!)
So we went!  The weather was PERFECT.

Whitney on the turtle.
Kate on the turtle.
My peeps in a little bowl!

Silly Owen and Dad.
Whitney after going through the crack in the cave!
Katelyn named these the teeth rocks!  Our poor pizza rock from last time had cracked in half!
The second night we went to Moab to "bunny camp" (see post of pictures from Eric's phone), and then went to Arches National Park for the first time!  yay for Katelyn's 4th grader free pass!
This was a cool place to explore: Double Arch.
Eric and the 3 older kids climbed right up under one of the arches!

Cute girl in a hole.
The "Parade of Elephants"
They really looked like elephants! Very cool.
Whitney up in another cool spot that she and Eric, Kate and Owen scrambled up to.
While me and Maris hung out in a safer, shady spot!  Maris loves to climb too though, I had to bribe her with fruit snacks to stay down with me and not fall and die!
Sand dune arch was the other little hike we did- another little elephant!
Eric and Whitney went adventuring,

While the rest of us played in the sand.

And then Whitney climbed the arch!  I hurried and took a picture and then made her get down, the signs said no climbing. :)
It was a fun trip; we thought about doing another national park on the way home (Capitol Reef) but 48 hours of camping/hiking is all we can handle. :)
