Summer Week 1! Featuring Kannarraville Falls: the Second Edition

Katelyn and Whitney got to go to Girls Camp!! So exciting after everything was cancelled last year. 1st and 3rd year when it should have been the 2nd and 4th, but it's okay.
While they were at camp, the 3 younger kids did a little volleyball camp.  It was so fun!! Here's Owen setting and Emma waiting for the ball. I didn't get a good picture of Maris but she loved it too.

As soon as the girls were home, we headed to St. George for Ryder's baptism.  On the way we stopped and hiked Kannaraville Falls- we had gotten the passes a while before. We had tried this hike when Maris was a baby- in February- and this time we were much more successful!  Older kids and warmer water made it great. We still had a rocky start, since the first half mile is uphill.  But we powered through and it was definitely worth it.

Starting to walk in the water!  And the narrows part!

Maris with her pink rock :)

We were brave and climbed the ladder!

And made it through to the second narrows...

And the waterslide!!  The 3 older kids were brave and did it!  Here's Owen soaked and Whitney doing it. Both Kate and Owen surprised me and did it with no warning so I didn't get a picture!

Going down the ladder- a little dicey!!
In St. George we shared an airbnb with my parents, it was super fun! Here's the girls playing on the pacman machine with my dad.
Ryder's baptism was awesome, Katrina gave a really inspiring talk.  Owen and Ryder were best buds, so fun. They had a great time at the reservoir pretending to be a warship and squirting people.

We love the Cravens!

Bits and Pieces of May

This happened: they started digging for the house behind us, sad.  It was a great 7 years with no one blocking our view.
The last of the tulips!
Emma still falling asleep everywhere, but doing it less and less.  at the table with bread haha

Maris got to make up a fake name for a day at school, and she chose Jewel for some reason. Very cute and a family name!
Silly girls still occasionally take a bath together and make soap beards haha.
Owen really wanted to play real baseball for the first time. It was....an experience!!  I find baseball terribly boring, but he enjoyed it somewhat.

Documenting Emma's crazy hair if I let it dry without doing anything to it.  Straight on top, ringlets underneath!! At least it's finally growing!
Owen got to do his first Hershey Track meet!  He had fun.
Last day of school already??? They had to wear masks until the very last day, then they set them free. It was so exciting.

Memorial Day at the Payson Cemetery.
Emma's last day of preschool I think?  Cutie.
And just like that it was summer!!

Finally an official teenager

Whitney had a fun birthday!

With and without her photobombing brother haha.
She wanted a fireworks cake and this is what I came up with!

Singing happy birthday! Grandma and Grandpa were there too, we had just gone to her choice of dinner- pizza factory.

Then the next day we had her super fun party!  We rented these giant bubbles for bubble soccer! Here is our family playing with the balls before the party began. the little girls were especially hilarious in them.  We all rolled down a hill, got destroyed by Eric, and had a fun hour before Whitney's friends arrived.

Her first boy/girl party in years!!

After several awesome soccer games, slush punch, more bubble soccer....
they ended up just doing this:

She opened a million presents- she had invited her whole soccer team plus 10 best friends from school- it was fun to see the worlds collide.

Sadly the ice cream melted so we didn't have a big ending with singing, but we were able to clean everything up before a storm rolled in!  It was a great party.

Whitney is the life of the party, and she is thrilled to finally be a teenager.
