We celebrate 20 years by living on a boat!

For our anniversary I begged and convinced Eric to go on our first cruise!  He wanted to just do a weekend getaway in the mountains, but our 20th Anniversary only comes once!  Better do something exciting while we are still young enough to enjoy it! haha.

It was pretty cool, we might do it again someday, but probably not with the kids??  There just isn't enough to do on the boat besides relax, and they would get SO bored with that!

Anyway here was the day we woke up to animals taking over the ship, it was hilarious.

The stingray and seal towels left on our bed :)
Even though it wasn't our anniversary until Dec. 30th, I told them it was Nov 18th, in the middle of our trip. So this was cute!
This was the best- when it was actually warm enough to sit outside on our balcony!  Which was only like 25% of the time, if that.  FYI- it's a little too cold for a Baja California cruise in November!
We also enjoyed relaxing by the adults-only pool in these cabana things- until it got too windy.  We had  really nice weather in Cabo though- sat in one of those and watched the sunset and the city lights come on before we left port- it was cool.

The fancy-ish restaurant we ate at 3 or 4 times- cool decor!
Getting on the boat!  Long Beach in the background.
The coast outside of Cabo, and a Sea Lion towel?
More deck pictures.  It was 1000% worth paying for a deck!

From the upper front part of the ship.
Life on the boat was pretty chill.  We would just go eat, then while away the time until we were hungry enough to eat again LOL. The food was pretty good!  Now on to the Shore excursions.....

Halloween

Katelyn decided to live it up for her last Halloween as a kid!  She got dressed up and took Owen and Maris out for a long time after Emma and I came home. And they got a huge haul!!  So much that I decided next year I'm going to offer a Halloween candy buy-back. I don't want them eating all of that, it's gross!

The pumpkins looked great with their lights in!

I tried to make a Harry Potter pumpkin, you can see it up on the right.  And Eric did his classic tiny holes that you couldn't see light through haha.
Emma had such a CUTE jellyfish costume!  Sadly it was super annoying to carry while also carrying a candy bucket and picking out candy at each house!  But Emma still had fun and got a huge pile of candy.
Pre-trick or treat pics!  Katelyn was Sabine Wren from Star Wars, Emma was a jellyfish, Maris was a panda, Owen finally got his dream of being a blowup dinosaur, thanks to Temu!  And Whitney was a little kid, to go with her friends' costumes of "family pictures". Cuties!
For school, they actually let the kids wear costumes for the first time!  So they had fun with this.

Cute!  and Owen didn't want to wear the dino to school, so he went as Santa haha.  And ended up as Santa for the last hour of Trick or Treating as well.

Kate with her awesome purple-sprayed hair. She was super impressed whenever anyone knew who she was supposed to be.
Emma's awesome spider web pumpkin, and Maris' fancy October 31st.
Katelyn's classic Jack O' Lantern, and Whitney's super cute Toy Story Alien, were both pumpkins we grew ourselves!
Owen made this amazing skull and crossbones!  And This old facebook memory made me laugh.

This was our ward trunk or treat. I am totally embracing the Dia De Los Muertos part of Halloween!   And Owen walking or running around in that Dinosaur costume was truly hilarious, worth every penny!  I watch the videos when I need a good laugh.

Footloose the Underwhelming

This right here was the best part of Footloose. The other seniors are great and she has had so much fun acting with them over the years.

Corban, Elias, Andrea, Annica, Ashley, Christian, Lizzie, Jonny, Katelyn, Malaina, and Ariel.
Seniors making announcements at the end of the show.
Loved this line dancing scene.  The only time katelyn really got to dance in the show since she was cast as an adult!

More dancing, and talking to Dillon (Willard- he would always come talk to her in the background of this scene because he knew she could carry on a great background-acting conversation!)
Singing Footloose up on the balcony in the opening scene, and singing the adult part in Any Given Sunday
More opening scene- includig her small solo!  It was supposed to be bigger but the bad director took most of it away halfway through rehearsals....
Solo and bows at the end- Kate is bottom right.
Cast photo- so colorful!
Singing with the adult church choir (middle right) towards the end of the show, and more background acting with Dillon and Addison.

Great dancing.

Big number before intermission- she's up on the balcony.
Side note- helping with Choir Spirit Activities for Owen's Tyros group!
Family and friend after show pics!
And one last shot of her acting/singing her heart out in the background of the courtroom scene.
Yay another show! It was fun to do her huge poofy hair, and she got more show experience. :)
